Folder and List structure.

What I've been reading about exporting a GPX file with List and folder structure is quite old, so I was wondering in anyone know that Garmin has solve the issue and manage to program something that allow to export (and Import afterwards) a GPX file with all the structure of Folders/Lists.

I'm not quite sure what you're after here. Are you talking about sending it to your device? If so that doesn't happen but you can set categories for waypoints and they are sent to a device.

Hi Sussamb, thanks for answering. This is NOT to send to a device. I want to use different libraries as mine has become too big so who I create a new library I need to export a part of my data and import it again in the new library, but there is no way I can export keeping List and Folders.

Ah ok. Your data is contained in a file named AllData.gdb and the folder structure in FolderData.gfi, at least it is in Windows version, can't be 100% sure about the Mac version.

So what i would do is copy those files to any new library you set up then delete the data in that library you don't want. Provided you keep the original library for now you could keep repeating that until you have however many others that you want.

Thanks Sussamb, interesting. Now I'm traveling and using BC a lot on a work so I don't want to test anything new, but as soon as I come back and do my backups I will try.

SUSSAMB is correct about the file names and they are the same in OSX.

Ok, I'm back and I've done what Sussamb told me. I've created several copies of my original library WITH the data, so I don't have the problem of importing, and then erase the information I don't want on each. ALL GOOD, except a little problem of space.

My original library was 7,79 Gb

The new Librarias are:
Client 1: 685 Mb (all good here, although it takes forever to open)
Client 2: 6,07 Gb ¿?¿?¿¿?¿
Client 3: 6,45 GB ¿?¿?¿?¿?¿

Any ideas?
