Basecamp and Topo Pro France v5 Pro

I purchased Topo France v5 Pro cartography for my Fenix 5 Plus and it works well on the watch but I cannot make it work in BaseCamp on my Macbook Pro (2020, OS X Catalina 10.15.6). I tried several things:

Reinstalling basecamp
Removing all basecamp data on the mac
Resetting my watch to factory settings and reinstalling the maps on it

No matter what I do, BaseCamp keeps telling me that my maps on my watch are invalid...

Is there any way to install the maps directly on the Mac? I'm tired of not being able to plan my routes on my computer...

Thanks for your reply but how is it going to help if I cannot even read the map from my watch? Basecamp keeps telling me "Valid Chart Product Not Found" even though I tried to reset everything to factory settings and reinstall the map.

You asked about how to install the maps to your Mac. Copying them to a virtual drive will do that, and you may find BC will accept them from there.

Ok.. Tried to copy my maps (D1270030A.img, D1270030A.gma, D7235000A.img and D7235000A.gma) from my Fenix 5 plus to a virtual drive. As expected, same behavior : BC detects them but displays the same error message "Valid Chart Product Not Found"...

You should also have .unl files for the maps? I can't be sure as I don't have those maps.

I had those files on the watch when I first installed the maps. I made two tests:

First test with D1270030A.img, D1270030A.gma, D1270030A.unl, D7235000A.img, D7235000A.gma and D7235000A.unl => no success, same error
Then after using the map on the watch, both .unl files disappeared, so I tested a new virtual drive with a new copy of only the .img and .gma files => same error

For the record, removing the ~/Library/Caches/com.garmin.BaseCamp cache folder on my Mac allowed BC to read the maps from my watch again. I am waiting for the cache to be regenerated and I'll try the virtual device trick again.
