I want to see which LISTS contain a particular ITEM. In the manual, it says Double-Click an item, then select References. But I can't see a References option or icon at all. Does anyone know where it is?

Not sure about on a mac but on windows you can right click and select Open as well as double clicking then it's the last tab.
No: that doesn't do it. Double-click, or right-click then get-info, brings up the data list. There are only two tabs: summary (which is the data); and Notes (which allows files and links to be added).
Actually, I just opened GBC 4.8.8 on 10.13.6, right-clicked on one of my items, and selected Get Info. There were 4 tabs, the last References. On that tab, there are 3 areas, one for Lists.

You are probably double clicking on a Track if you are seeing summary and notes.. The Reference column show up for Waypoints.
Exactly, bobgps. One of the often frustrating limitations of Mac BaseCamp is that there is no Reference column for tracks like there is for waypoints. Sure would be a slick piece of info for more quickly cleaning up some lists.
Does your comment mean it is in the Windows version?
Yes, it is in the Windows version, tracks, routes as well as waypoints.
A perfect example of Garmin turning its back on the Mac community.
How many hours of programming to you think it might take to solve this in the next update? Not that many, I don't suppose.
Right - that's it. If I double-click a waypoint the References tab shows, but NOT with a track -- which is what I actually want. Thanks for the info -- even though it's not what I wanted to hear!
Welcome to the club of ignored Mac users. Garmin wants to sell us new products but then we don't exist after the sale.
