Device not recognized in Mojave for Transfer in/out (Zumo XT) Macbook Pro 2019

I can see the device and connect to Garmin Express, but Basecamp is not allowing Transfer trips in or out. I've created a trip and would like to transfer it to the Zumo XT. I have a Macbook Pro 2019 with USB-C ports. I am using an adapter to connect the USB cable that came with the Zumo XT to connect to the laptop. This is working for Garmin Express connection, but not for Basecamp.

Have you tried another USB-C port? Garmin devices are known for being fussy with Mac ports and sometimes this "fixes" it.

Are you running both Express and BaseCamp at the same time? If so quit Express then see if BaseCamp recognises your device.

Same greyed out Transfer Send or Receive options in Basecamp if Express is open or not.

So does your device show in the left hand pane? If so how are you trying to send the data to your device?

There was an article about resolving this, but my OS is Mojave and doesn't work the same way. I cannot add Privacy settings to allow access to Files and Folders. That is not an option for me.

ZumoXT connects to Express downloads maps even transfers maps into Basecamp......but will not appear in finder as a connected device or in basecamp as my connected Garmin. Running Catalina 10.15.7

I have the same problem. ZumoXT does not show up in finder, nor does the SD card in it. Basecamp see it though.
