unable to get BaseCamp to connect to my Zumo XT

Garmin Express shows the unit is connected to my computer but when in BaseCamp, it doesn't detect the unit. Using Mac OS Sierra version 10.13.6

Check it's not the same issue as posted in the thread at the start of this forum.

It does exactly that, BaseCamp unable to detect devices, unless I've misunderstood your question. It does refer to Catalina though so may not apply to your OS but worth checking. It's unusual for Express to see a device but not BaseCamp, normally either both would or both wouldn't.

Latest release fixes a known issue with the XT so update BaseCamp

For What its worth, I have a new Zumo XT2 ( 2023 ) It too has same delay in connecting to Basecamp.

My solution was to first open Garmin Express and get Zumo to enter ' Transfer Mode.

next Opened Basecamp.

HI, I have the same issue with XT2. The workaround you propose doesn't work. How can I find the XT2 on Base Camp? And How can I upload GPX files on this XT2. I looking for a solution for more than 1 week

I also just downloaded the App ‘ Android File Transfer ‘.

Recognizes ZumoXT2 … saw You Tube on it tried it and works well
