Why Mac users cannot change font size?

With the last update 4.8.8 the font of map streets and labels changet to ugly serif font. Besides that, when used on MacBook 13" on the go, it is almost unreable because it's too small.

I have BaseCamp installed on my work desktop, that is Windows machine. There I have option to change font size under preferences>display.

Why Mac users are left out of that option?

  • One workaround. Go to System Preferences --> Displays --> Display and click Scaled under Resolution. Choose one of the larger text sizes.

On my setup (iMac 2017, OS 10.13.6, BC 4.8.8) the streets and menu items are all in a sans-serif typeface.

    Hi!

No offence, but I didn't ask for workaround! I asked for solution.

And we do not have similar conditions - I have 13" MacBook Pro, You have 27" iMac - this is signifficant difference in size. I have Mac OS 10.15.4 and You have 10.13.6. It has been discussed before, that font is not issue in earlier Mac Os versions.

Windows users Do have this option. And this serif font is not usable for higher resolutions and must be changed!

My question is more to developers and it goes for the conditions that I (and most users I belive - the latest OS and Basecamp) use OS 10.15.4 and BaseCamp 4.8.8.

However, hanks for the workaround - I think it can be helpful for some users.

  • No offense taken, but please note that I called it a "workaround" on purpose because it is not a solution.

Are you saying that it's the latest OS that changes BC to a serif typeface?
