cannot export gpx files off Basecamp 4.8.8.0 to Catalina OS 10.15.3

Basecamp crashes trying to export .gpx files - is there a way to grab my hundreds of .gpx files directly off my Mac hard drive ?? Everything worked fine for many, many years, even on Catalina, up until last week when I took the bait to update Basecamp to 4.8.8.0 from Basecamp prompt. I tried reinstalling all previous versions of Basecamp from 4.7.x - 4.8.8 and the same problem - screen freezes with export window - have to go to Force Quit to quit BC. Please help! Thank you!

How are you trying to export your files? There are a couple of ways, although why BaseCamp is crashing I have no idea. You could try for example sending them to a memory stick, rather than using Export.

Same way you would send gpx files to your device, BaseCamp should 'see' a memory stick and allow you to send routes etc to it just the same way you send them to your device.

I have no idea why but suddenly it started working again and I'm able to Export gpx data - thanks
