Custom icons on Garmin ZUMO 595

I'm using Basecamp on Mac, I create a route and use a number of different icons that represent different locations. I transfer the route to Garmin ZUMO 595, and there are only TWO icons available—an orange flag, and a blue dot. Is there ANY way that you can transfer the symbols from Basecamp onto the GPS unit? I have seen similar posts but they haven't answered this question definitively.

No, your device doesn't have custom icons so all it will do is convert any icons sent by BaseCamp to the ones on the device.

Same question here...read quite a few similar posts. I have a Zumo 396 I want to use with motorcycle rallies and being able have the same icons that I plugged into BaseCamp for my waypoints (mostly associated with point values of the bonuses) to reflect on my Zumo 396, would help me tremendously.

Questions:

1: Does Garmin have a motorcycle GPS that accepts the waypoint symbols assigned in BaseCamp?

2: If not, does anyone know the reason Garmin does not allow their motorcycle GPS's to accept the waypoint symbols assigned in BaseCamp?

1. There isn't any current Garmin On the Road device that does this.

2. BaseCamp was originally developed for use with On the trail devices. Apart from a very few On the road devices, the nuvi 14xx series was one example, they simply weren't designed to accept symbols from BaseCamp.
