You can, it is searchable via global search on the top right just as any map object or waypoint (POI) either in-map one or the custom item from list.
Agree with all said. My main point remains: info boxes that pop up when dbl-clicking waypoints have a 'References' tab where you can see the names of every one of the lists into which that waypoint…
Thanks all, great help. I discovered when you type reference text under the "Notes" tab of a track, this is also searchable (part of text will also found).
Don't think you can search for a track but they're listed alphabetically so shouldn't be an issue surely?
Agreed. But first select My Collection at the top of your lists so that you can see all of the track names.
(Although this still doesn't exactly help to find a specific track within a specific list as easily as identifying the stored locations of your waypoints: dbl-click one found in My Collection and then choose the References tab in the info box that pops up. Why, oh why, don't track info boxes have a References tab?...)

UPD: there are three separate panes in the left panel: the devices pane where all the folders lists and other containers from conneted devices are shown. The collection pane with items stored locally on your PC or Mac and the bottom pane wich shows the items sored in the lists, folders or other containers of the selected device. The search will be initiated among the items of the currently selected map and the currently selected device or collection. So if you select the "Garmin 64s" on the left when it's connected it will search tracks there. If you click on "My collection" it will search there or if you click on some folder in int it will limit the search to that folder.
UPD2: Although you can search by the track name, waypoint name or the route, you can't search by the list or folder name so try to keep the tree small. I personally give the same name to the list as for the track name in it or at least the part of it. Also I copy the date from the track and put it to the name of the track and the list so I can search using that.
Good spot, thanks. I simply open up the list and scroll through the tracks, very quick provided you've organised your data into appropriate folders and lists.
Agree with all said. My main point remains: info boxes that pop up when dbl-clicking waypoints have a 'References' tab where you can see the names of every one of the lists into which that waypoint has been organized; info boxes that pop up when dbl-clicking tracks do not have this feature. Improving on that latter deficiency would be desirable.
Yes, I know but my named tracks start with numbers, it would be convenient to do a free search (wild card). Thanks anyway.
Thanks for such detailed answer, great help! I discovered now that when you type some text in the "Notes" tab of a track, this text will also found in the Search.
Thanks, great help with this detailed info.
