How to update to 4.8 when it doesn't show in Check for Update?

Using Mac Mojave. BaseCamp is version 4.7.0 and - when I go to Check for updates in BaseCamp it says there are no updates. How do I get the 4.8 update? Does that update get me to 64 bit so I can update the Mac to Catalina?

Note system requirements for 4.8.4 running OS 10.13 or higher

a quick question - where do I find the ##bit in Basecamp settings?

It's not in settings, if you have it installed it'll be 64bit
