I recently had a response from Garmin, that there will be no 64 bit version. So we need a way to transfer data into gpi so that we can copy the gpi files manually to e the Garmin POI folder. Which software can we use?
So come macOS Catalina this fall that's it for Mac users? I really hope that's not the case, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised.
Everyone, the POI Loader for Mac as updated to v2.4.1.
This update includes:
What about HomePort for Mac? Will it be 64-bit soon?
Sorry for the topic detour, but this is the first activity I've seen in a long while by a Garmin rep on a closely related topic.

You can download the application as a zip archive from here:
Needs only to be unzipped; no "installation" necessary. Let me know whether that works.
The download link should work until October 17.
We are currently looking into this. Until a fix is in place, the current workaround could be found on Apple's Support Site:

Garmin should also look into stopping the nonsense of putting one-file applications (like POI Loader) into "Installers." This is unnecessary and shows how little understanding of and probably also interest for macOS Garmin has.
This has now been resolved.
