      On my Mac with macOS 10.12.6 version 4.8.2 does not start. The icon bounces once in the dock and then disappears. Restart does not help. Reinstalling does not help. Version 4.7.0 is still working.

      You need Mac OS 10.13.4 or later for 64 bits.

      Not true. I have since years, even before I had macOS 10.12, almost only 64 bit applications on my Mac, and Garmin themselves lists macOS 10.10 or later as system requirement for Basecamp 4.8.2 (https://www8.garmin.com/support/down...ls.jsp?id=4450).

      I just installed Basecamp 4.8.2 on my second Mac with macOS 10.13.6 - and have the same faulty results. Something is wrong with the installer and Garmin needs to fix that.

      To provide another data point, I also installed 4.8.2 on my iMac 10.13.6 and it also fails to run. It does create a crash log in the Console with the following error (more info available if requested):

      *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[NSApplication setAppearance:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x60400010b760'
      abort() called
      terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException

      Hopefully, this can be fixed quickly.

      Works ok on my MacBook with latest Mojave, but is disappointingly similar to 4.7.0 (i.e. no Google Earth link).

      In that case, I suspect that Garmin used some dependency unique to Mojave. I can't upgrade my computer to 10.14, so if 4.8.2 won't work on it, I won't be able to use the new version.

      I looked through the info.list in the application and it shows 10.10 as minimum version required, so somebody needs to fix this ASAP!!!!

      Fred

      Also, where can we report these issues? I can't find a decent place that is for reporting software issues like this except here.

      After seeing the issues reported here, rather than upgrade the Mini on which I run BC 4.6.3, I tested it by installing it on a Macbook which never had BC before.
      Both Macs are running 10.13.6.
      BC 4.8.2 just crashes on startup.

      I did not think of looking at the crash logs at first. I did not and have exactly the same error listed. For now that means that there is no 64 bit version unless you use macOS 10.14. I hope Garmin fixes this soon.
