Cannot reset Zumo 590 or delete user data

I apologize if this is not the right place for this particular question. Any help is appreciated.

I bought a used Zumo 590 that I use with basecamp for Mac. I am still learning it all. I have tried to complete a factory reset and delete all user data from the hard drive of the device using two different methods, receiving a "successful" message every time yet when I power it back on, it walks through the initial set up process but then asks me to import tracks/routes. I click to see what routes it is detecting and it is all the routes that I have input - they are not being deleted. I was using an SD card with it and after trying to delete the SD card info while hooked up to my computer, I finally just removed it completely from the device but I still get the same information so the routes are actually on the device hard drive. I have tried to delete the manually from the device one at a time but they are there again when I restart. It is a combination of the previous owner's information as well as mine - my home address is still in my favorites and shows up on the map. Also, this is happening before I even hook it up to basecamp so it is not importing from their either.

Any idea how to completely wipe all this data from the device and reset to factory with a clean memory? Thanks!!!
