I'm awaiting the arrival of my new BMW motorbike, and it comes with a Garmin sat nav. So I downloaded BaseCamp and I've loaded in some routes around Scotland, so that I can download them to the bike. However, the routes are just straight lines? They don't follow any roads? Also if I change the profile from motorbike/windy roads, to a car the routes are just the same, they even show the same if I set to take the route on foot.? What am I doing wrong? I've followed the tutorial video, but it doesn't appear to work for me.
I've even tried a route from Kendal to Loch Lomond, using windy roads. It plots a course straight up the M6?
