how to use a gmap map on the device

I have tried to use a gmap file mao on the device. I can use on BaseCamp with no issues, but unable to load on the device. I tried to copy to a Garmin folder on the Micro SD, but it did not works. I also have renamed to img extension?

Can I use maps with this extensions? How?

You can use .img maps on your device, but simply renaming something as a .img file doesn't make it an .img map. See here for maps on an Edge

You can use Google-Earth created maps on a Edge 1000.
Look for: Custom Maps KMZ

The gmap itself is not compatible with your device.
Copy the image file or have basecamp transfer it to your device. I would advice having a memory card installed.
In BC right click it in the left panel where your device is visible and choose install map. from there you can choose what to install from whatever map you have on BC. Note: they will be installed as gmapsupp.img, so do not install to root if you want to keep the primary map. Rename them if you want multiple maps to whatever you like with GMTK tools from Javawa,
Do make make copy of your device, use Javawa device manager.

Thanks, but i do not see the option to install a map on my basecamp, i tried my device and maps forlder, but it is not there.

Does your device show in BaseCamp? If so you should be able to right click either it or the folder underneath it, when you do there is an option that says Install maps

I checked again and i do not see this option, i have taken an screenshot.

If it's not showing it's probably an illegal map or one not suitable for your device. Can't see the detail in your screenshot as it's too small.
