Thanks, that worked. A bit awkward, though. I would have thought, since the Montana has boating as an option, that Basecamp would offer water navigation. Would make life a lot easier to just mark two points and have BC plot the course within the water boundaries.
Well that would only work if the map you're using allows routing along rivers, does it? I know of no maps that do. So it's not a BaseCamp but a map issue since BaseCamp can only route where a map is designed to do so.
Nice or not, you probably will never get it. It also wouldn't be as useful as you think.
The "path following" navigation that Basecamp uses require narrow "roads/paths" to work.
* There really aren't any "roads" on waterways (oceans, lakes, big rivers). * Rivers are hard/expensive to survey and they keep changing. It's easy and quick to survey roads (one only needs to drive on them). * A "road" that is defined on a waterway won't work for every boat (things like draft and superstructure height need to be considered). * A kayak can "go anywhere" (essentially, there would be an unlimited number of possible "roads" one could use). A larger boat can't. * As the captain of your boat, you have more responsibility for making navigation decisions,
