Several years ago I used to be able to use the functions in Basecamp that allowed you to view a selected area in Google Earth. That isn't working for me now, and I know another friend who's trying to work on the same project with me has also run into this problem. I am wondering if it's a known issue with a known solution?
I have already re-installed Google Earth, and went for an older version (Google Earth Pro) because the first error message I got in Basecamp when I control clicked a map and asked for "show in Google Earth" mentioned that I needed to have it installed in my applications folder; i.e. available on my hard drive. ( As opposed to the latest version of Google Earth which wants you to run it in Google Chrome). I have also tried opening Google Earth myself so it is already launched and running when I ask Basecamp to use it, but that didn't help. It just says "Google Earth could not be opened".
I have searched the FAQ and "Google Earth" brings up NO hits, which surprised me . . .
