How do you sync BaseCamp with Garmin N America for iPhone?

I was given a copy of Garmin N America for iPhone as a Christmas present. However, I was extremely disappointed when I could not find a way to transfer my waypoints from BaseCamp on my Windows PC to the app in the phone. I expected it work the way it does with transferring such data to my StreetPilot via USB cable. When I couldn’t get BaseCamp to recognize the app in my iPhone, I said what is the point when there are free apps that can do the same job as the costly Garmin app. So, I demanded a refund from Apple.

It was only after this that I stumbled across the Garmin Cloud function in BaseCamp. Using it I have successfully transferred data from my Mac to my Windows PC. However, as I asked for a refund on the iPhone app, I longer have it installed to see if it will work with Garmin Cloud. So, will Garmin Cloud allow me to transfer waypoints, routes, etc., to and from Garmin N America in an iPhone? If it can be used to transfer the data to N America for iPhone, then I would be willing to pay to reinstall it on my phone. If it will not work with the app, then I won’t. So, does Garmin Cloud work with the iPhone app?

I had the same question, it's not encouraging that your question was the first (and so far only relevant) post Google found.

I have Basecamp for OSX and Garmin North America on my iPhone, both use cloud storage, but there doesn't appear to be any way to get them to talk. I can't find any way to get waypoints from Basecamp or its cloud storage to the iPhone app.

I have the same query on a Mac - I just bought the iPhone app so I could retire my old Nuvi but cannot find how I transfer my favorites (saved locations) to the iPhone app???? Anyone help?
