How to save MAPS onto hard drive
Former Member

I want my maps (60 CSX, Nuvi and Zumo) saved onto my hard drive so I can use them w/o having GPS attached.
Tech says, option is there while doing update- not seeing that.
Suggestions?

Depends on the map. Certainly CN maps can be installed using Express.

I have CN on GPS, also have on disk for PC. I regretfully use Basecamp on Mac now. I don't see how to get CN from GPS into MAC Basecamp.
Or maps from my Nuvi or 60 CSx. I always have to have the GPS plugged in to have any maps. Very inconvenient when planning trips and etc.

You get CN onto your Mac using Express under map options, assuming of course you have lifetime maps? Really difficult to advise what's best unless you explain exactly what your situation is and what other maps you have, apart from CN.

I am on line with tech support now. Express would not run. After long chat, it is now working- will see what happens next.
