Birdseye download stops due to username and password error in Basecamp?

I'm trying to install some Birdseye mapping through Basecamp. My credits show up fine, I can select the map area, but when it gets to the point where I am asked to put in my mygsrmin user name and password, it ALWAYS says that the username or password is incorrect and thus will not enable the Birdseye download.

I have spoken to UK support, who say it is a problem with Garmin and they can't do anything to help.

Has anyone here experienced the problem and is there a workaround please?
