I can see Birdseye download on my Mac but not on Garmin 64s - help

Hi all

This problem is driving me crazy. I purchased Birdseye select v2 and dowloaded a 1 - 25K map segment which looks great and i can see on my Mac and on the 64s. I have downloaded several other map from Birdseye select v2 and they all display on my map but not on the 64s.

Any help gratefully received, Garmin support are (if judged by their response speed and quality of their advice) are pretty useless.

How are you installing the BirdsEye onto your 64s? Do you see the individual BirdsEye files on your GPS? Are they in the BirdsEye folder?

Hi and many thanks for reply. after Birdseye download i think it was Garmin Express but not sure.

Yes i can see the files on the 64s in Garmin/Garmin/Birdseye using finder, and they show in the left hand pane of Basecamp when i connect my device.

Only the 1 of the files (the first i downloaded) is visible on the device however.

What map is also selected? It's quite possible they're hidden behind the map. What transparency did you set in Basecamp prior to sending them to your GPS? You may need to play with the settings. You may also need to zoom in to see them.

I note that you do not work for Garmin, probably a good thing in one way as you would show them up!

You solved in 10 Mins what Garmin support with their ultra slow response times (2 weeks) and incorrect formulaic advice couldn't.

Yes it was a transparency problem - i needed to right click on the map concerned in the left hand pane view of the 64s files and select "send to front".
