Can waypoints created in Base Camp be exported to a device

Hi all -

I am wondering if it is possible to create a waypoint on computer (Base Camp for example) either by entering Lat/long coordinates or by clicking the map, then transfer that waypoint to a device like the Fenix 3 for example?

I don't own a Fenix 3 yet and I've only recently downloaded Base Camp and begun to play around with it. And since I don't yet own a Base Camp compatible device I can't test this myself. This is a key feature I am looking for though.

That's really what BaseCamp is for. Planning on your PC then sending that data to your device.

I agree that it certainly seems that this is the type of thing it should be able to do. But I've heard conflicting accounts regarding this from various users and even from Garmin itself. I'm hoping to find someone who can say, "yes, I've created a waypoint on BaseCamp and transferred it to my watch". Or something similarly close enough to convince me that spending this much money won't be a waste.

Sorry - I don't see a link to video. But if I am able to create a waypoint in the map on BaseCamp, either by dropping a pin or by entering the lat/long coordinates, then transfer that to my watch, then that answers my question.

Oops sorry, missed the link, now added. Also see this where it says the F3 is basecamp compatible http://fenix3.garmin.com/en-GB under the features tab.

You're not talking about BaseCamp mobile, are you? Because that doesn't work with the Fenix 3. BaseCamp Mobile is abandonware, and a quick search shows it's gone from the iOS app store (don't think there was ever an Android version). Only the desktop BaseCamp for OS X or Windows works. I don't have a Fenix 3, but I have put waypoints on my Epix using OS X BaseCamp. As SUSSAMB says, that's what BaseCamp is for.

No not talking about mobile. I would be using the OS X BaseCamp. Good to know though. Thank you.
