Trying to figure out how to add and access the many waypoints/geocaches that I have used on the handheld Garmin. I just got the 2557LMT for use in my truck; accessing my stored files would be most helpful. It appears with Easy GPS I transferred those to the unit, but have yet to see how to access them from the unit itself. Going through the manual, but any tips/help would be appreciated.
Import the data into Basecamp then send it to your nuvi. Note while you can send waypoints etc your nuvi cannot read tracks, so any tracks you wish to send would need to be converted to routes prior to sending. Your nuvi also has a 30 waypoint limit on routes so even then tracks converted to routes probably won't work.
OK, slowly getting the hang of it. I'm very used to my hand held eTrex Legend H, which is great on hiking trails and general geocache locating. I have a number of waypoints marked in the eTrex. Some, certainly not all, pertain to campsite locations I want in the 2557LMT. I found last night by moving the desired .gpx files in the desktop computer into a folder, then importing them as POI, I can choose them in the 2557 and "go to." That helps. I added Base Camp late last evening and haven't messed with it a lot yet.
