How to Select Multiple Tracks on Mac

I'm using the latest release of Basecamp for Mac and am running OS Yosemite. I can't find a way to select multiple tracks at once for joining. The only option I've discovered that actually works is to drag a selection box around the tracks in question, but if there are multiple tracks crossing each other it's not ideal. I've tried holding the shift key, control key, option key and command key while clicking the tracks I want to join, but none of these keys seem to work. Any suggestions? What could I be doing wrong?
  • Select the tracks you wish to join by clicking on their names in the left pane using Shift (contiguous) or Command (non-contiguous) keys and then use the Edit menu or Command-J to join them.

    Hi Dan,

I'm having the same problem with Base Camp Version 4.2.4, but my OS is El Capitan. Instructions say "Press and hold Command on your keyboard, and click two or more tracks." I tried that as well as Shift, Control and Option. None of them work for me. Any other ideas?[/SIZE]
  • Ralph,

If I'm understanding you correctly, you are clicking on the tracks themselves, in the map window. This will not work. Instead, open the list or folder in the left-side window of BC which contains the track names and click on the names while holding Shift or Command.

Here's an example of two tracks that are non-contiguous, selected using Command, with combined stats showing at the bottom of the window:

No, you misunderstood me. I was clicking on the names of the tracks in the left panel as you described and showed in your attachment. Although I have to admit that when that didn't work, I did try clicking on the tracks in the map as well out of frustration.;)
  • Now, seven years and numerous updates later this does still not work... poor performance of the programmers team....

  • What doesn't work? If you mean clicking on the items on the map that isn't designed to work to select multiple items

  • It does work as described by danham in the first reply. I do it all the time to join all the bits of a long trip together.
