Basecamp 4.5.2 does not open, how to downgrade?

I want to downgrade to 4.5.1, but there is no place where I can download this, which I consider bad practice... This means you should never update via the application, but alway download from the website, so you have something to go back to... So, if any one can provide me with version 4.5.1 for the mac...

OSX 10.10.5
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013)

    Unable to open (launch) Basecamp

I've installed version 4.5.1 but, this version also does not launch.

My Security & Privacy Settings called Allow apps downloaded from: is set to Anywhere.
The application was not downloaded from the app store.

Essentially this means I cannot use my GPS-tracker anymore.

    Any suggestions?

    Problem solved.

Copy all your preferences starting wit com.garmin in ~/Library/Preferences and next put them in the trash and empty the trash.
Also copy and delete the original Garmin Basecamp application.

    Reinstall.

Then move back all preferences you have copied except for com.garmin.BaseCamp.plist.

I've tried several variations reinstalling the app. This problem can happen with 4.5.1 and will happen with 4.5.2.
So installing 4.5.2 the first time via the menu in Basecamp must have wrecked my preferences.

    Rather daringly I would say.
The solution for applications that continue to cause problems is the removal of the "Saved States Application '.

I've never heard of such a thing on a mac. Am I missing something or is this only applicable to Windows?

Well this is the Mac Software part of the forum. :)
Try Google searching for "Saved States Application".

Ah, it's not an application, it's called Saved Application States. Thanks for the reminder, because this could have been the source of my problems, perhaps together with the preferences.
For the record: Saved Application States are stored in the folder ~/Library/Saved Application State/, they are named com.apple.(Application Name).savedState. I found: com.garmin.BaseCamp.savedState, com.garmin.renu.client.savedState, com.garmin.webupdater.savedState. You can disable saved states in the Terminal: defaults write com.garmin.BaseCamp.savedState NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false. You can enable saved states in the Terminal: defaults write com.garmin.BaseCamp.savedState NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool true.

I don't think that you want to disable application states because the content should make the startup of your applications faster.
