I have been running various Garmins (Zumo 500, Nuvi 54 & 42) some time with Lifetime maps which all worked well with Basecamp on my iMac. I have the latest maps installed. I recently got a Zumo 660 refurb unit from Garmin UK and plugged it in to register the device. Garmin Express told me it needed to up date the 660 and downloaded and installed the latest maps and software. All seemed ok, 660 working fine.
I then went to do some work on some routes and basecamp crashed when I opened it up, it said there was an error. I managed to get BC open and it focused on an area of England but zoomed in. It was displaying the Global Map. When I clicked on a different map, 2016, BC crashed again. This happened time and time again. I uninstalled BC, re installed it, as soon as you try to either zoom out and change the map its crashes.
I cleared everything out to do with BC using an uninstaller program, it got rid of the .plist files etc and it even got rid on My Collection of routes. Fortunately I have them saved elsewhere. I searched on here and found that it could be a corrupt route file causing the problem so tried uninstalling again. I even deleted the 2016 maps, same things happens
I have no routes listed in My Collection and as soon as I try to change maps BC crashed again. I have a Mac Mini which is running 2015 maps and this doesn't crash. I can work on any of my routes with no issues. It is not on the latest version of BC, not 451 but the one before.
Both the iMac and Mac Mini are running El Captain, iMac is on BC 451. Hopefully someone will understand it and help me out so thanks in advance.
I have the crash report if needed
