iOS 9 - Basecamp Mobile App crashs after clicking on search device

    Same issue here unfortunately...

  • iOS 9: Basecamp Mobile App crashs

    Same issue.
Basecamp Mobile v3.0 (last updated 19 Feb 2014) crashes on iOS 9.0.2 when attempting to link a gpsmap 64s on firmware version 4.0
Interestingly, the app doesn't crash if you scan when the gps is switched off.
  • I notified the team that works on the Mobile app about your issue, but haven't heard anything back. You may want to contact Garmin support for any issue with the mobile app. This forum is for the BaseCamp desktop app and the mobile BaseCamp team doesn't monitor this as far as I know.

Same here. I notice that Garmin doesn't have a forum for this app, and it hasn't been updated for about a year... Has it been abandoned?

Not working st all means I can't upload my tracks to the Internet when I'm sea-kayaking on multi-day trips. Hope it gets fixed soon ....
  • IOS 9 and Oregon 650

    Also crashes with this combination

I have logged this with garmin support and the initial reply is

A Product Support specialist will respond to you within 3 business days

The app has now vanished off the App Store :(
Any way to put routes into 64st using iPhone? Was a major reason why I upgraded from 62stc and now it's gone!
  • What are you using to create the routes?

I know that much of the functionality of BaseCamp Mobile is being moved into Garmin Connect Mobile, but I'm not sure what the schedule for that is.

You may want to contact Garmin support for any issue with the mobile app.

Garmin App Support (Germany) todoy: Only unknowingly/stupid persons (Ios 9: "you mean El Capitan?", Basecamp Mobile vanished off: "You can find bascamp via google")
Whats wrong with Garmin? since 16. September no Information, no update, Basecamp Mobile vanished off the App Store and dead App links on Garmin Hompage.

Garmin Connect Mobile is not compatible with Garmin Oregon 6x0.
BaseCamp Mobile is the only app to transfer files (routes, tracks,... created with apps for example Twonav, Ape@Map,....) via Bluetooth to/from Garmin Oregon 6x0

I received the following response on 8th October

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.

The issue you are referring to is something that we are aware of and are working hard towards a resolution, however, we do not have a timeframe for this to be completed as yet.

Spoke today with Garmin Support in the UK. Basically their standpoint is yes they know there's a problem with the App which they are looking into (which is why it's been withdrawn from the App Store) but since the App is free of charge they feel no obligation to commit ! to fixing it and even if they do they're not prepared to give a timeframe. When asked about the justification for marketing new devices with Bluetooth support as a feature when the App that is essential to that support is not working they said the Bluetooth support is for noticifications (email, text messages etc.) and that any other useful 'by-products' such as being able to load tracks using bluetooth are just a nice-to-have and not gauranteed as part of the devices functionality :-((

Any comment I may have on all this porbbaly would be censored in this forum ;-)
