iPhone 6 not seeing Virb?

Trying to connect to GarminVirb wifi signal from my iPhone 6.

iPhone cannot see Virb? iPad sees and connects perfectly.

This would appear a phone problem, anyone having a similar issue?

We have tested the VIRB Elite with an iPhone 6, and we were able to connect and control the camera. Is your phone finding other wifi networks and connecting to them successfully?

I can connect to networks but can't get "remote" to show up. Just goes back to the instructions. Is the "remote" setting on the VIRB to be on or off?
