Connecting Virb Elite to Samsung S4

I am trying to connect a virb elite to a Samsung S4. I have updated the Virb to SofTware version 3.1 and device report WLAN version 1.20. The S4 is running android version 4.3 and version 1.2 of the Virb app, which was just downloaded yesterday. When I attempt to connect the Virb to the phone via WiFi, I get a message that says "an attempt to connect to the selected Wi-Fi hotspot has failed. Would you like to view Wi-Fi setting?" ans connection timeout. The under settings is says network disabled because internet connection is slow. What am I doing wrong? Is there another issue?

The Wi-Fi works on my iPad so it must be an Android issue.

Did you figure it out? I have the same issue with my app and have the S4 also.

I had this issue 2 days now (new camera) and have googled it and it seems no one has "fixed" it.
However, I just did, at least for me.

    On Android.
Settings/Wifi/Advanced (left touch) Switch automaticly between wifi and mobile network. <--- Uncheck this.

Somehow the phone do not think the wificonnection from Virb is strong enough hence choosing the mobile network instead. With this setting unchecked my virb app connected to the camera straight away.

Hope this helps for you guys as well.

Anyone know if this can be left unchecked by default or if its going to break anything else by doing so.

    Thanks!

also cheers to "[email protected]" for the fix!
