Loss of sound when replacing G Metric from Garmin 1000

Good afternoon. I've recently purchase the VIRB Elite and I would prefer to replace the gps data from my Edge 1000 for accuracy and more detail. However when I do so I seem to lose the sound on the video. Is there a way to avoid this?

Did you also change the playback speed? That's about the only thing I can think of that would make you lose the audio.

I have started again and did the overlay first which seems to have resolved the issue. I did have the clip speed changed.
