"There was an error playing the video"

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE (is this better than the minimum recommendation of nVidia GeForce GT 530?)
Driver version: 9.18.13.908 (30/01/2015 - latest I believe)
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit
Garmin Virb Edit version: 3.1.0

DxDiag says I have v11 of DirectX

The weird thing is, I was able to playback/edit a couple of videos but now I can't and nothing has changed as far as I'm aware.

Do you recall when it used to work?

From looking up your graphics card it doesn't look like it supports DX11 ("DDI Version: 9Ex" in DxDiag.txt). Your computer has DX11 installed, but the card doesn't support it.

literally a few days before; I've only had the camera less than two weeks

That's very strange if the same version worked just a few days before.

It shouldn't have if the card doesn't support Dx10.

Did you install any different drivers? Windows Updates?

I apologize for not being more helpful, but from the DxDiag it doesn't look like your machine will properly run VIRB Edit.

    Same problem

    I have the same problem.

Downloaded Virb Edit yesterday, played with it yesterday and today I recorded some footage to overlay with..

No problems at all.. Even with exporting.

But after and Windows Update. Virb Edit stopped playing videos. But i can sometimes hear the sound tho.

I have reinstalled Virb Edit, tried to rollback Win Update, Updated graphicx drivers, installed .NET 4.5.2 and nothing helps.

    Need assistance.

VIRB Elite, Virb Edit is 2-3 days old.
Laptop is 2 weeks old running 8.1
