Possible to have multiple Virb Edit versions installed?

Hi All,
I'm a bit new to Virb Edit but already I see users tend to fall back on previous versions for various reasons. This is a very newbie question but is it possible to have multiple versions installed or do you have to uninstall and reinstall? Also, if I have to uninstall for any reason, does this kill any projects I have started? Thanks!

There is no officially supported way of having more than one version running. This is because VIRB Edit stores its data in a shared location, if two versions of VIRB Edit mess with the same data all kinds of bad things might (and will) happen.

We don't encourage people to go back and forth with versions as it will most certainly corrupt your data. If you ever go back to on older version I'd recommend starting with a clean database every time.

Uninstalling does not remove your data. (Maybe it should, but it currently doesn't.) However, reading projects that were written in 3.0 or 3.1 with 2.9 might not work properly.
