Zero distance sometimes displayed on clips

I am using the latest VIRBEdit 3.0.1.0 and have a number of clips from a bike ride. The VIRB was left switched on, and then I used the slider to record clips. I am using the default overlays, and all is correct, except some clips show a distance of 0.0 even though they were recorded some way into the ride. Clips before and after them show the correct distance, and the clip with zero distance shows the speed and heart rate and elevation correctly. The position on the 'map' is also correct.

Is there any way to get the distance set correctly for the clips that have displayed it wrong? Why do some clips behave like this?

It sounds like we aren't correctly detecting the FIT file for these clips. If you right-click a clip that shows 0 distance, hit Properties, then GPS Info, is there an entry for FIT file?

If there isn't, I'd love to get the GPX file from that clip, and the FIT file from a clip from the same ride.

    Associated FIT file is missing

    Hi there,

You have got straight to the problem - there is no FIT file shown for those clips that have 0 km distance displayed.

I have saved a few files that might help - if you need any more, then I can add them.

    Files are stored at: http://1drv.ms/1GNTse8

Have you any idea why these particular clips don't get their FIT file associated? Is there any way I can correct this?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Thanks for sharing the files! We'll check it out.

We'll know more once an engineer takes a look at the files. Hopefully it's something we can fix in the next version.

One thing you could try is to replace G-Metrix for that clip and pick the FIT file instead. That might work, but I'm not sure. You might have to align again.

    Jeff,

do you happen to know what the firmware version of the Elite was that you recorded this with?

    Thanks.

    Jeff,

we tested this here and for us we get it synced up fine. If you don't mind try this one: Remove the G-Metrix from that clip, then add it again (use the GPX file that you put on OneDrive).

Let me know how that goes.
