Garmin Virb Edit - GPS Overlay Not Working HELP :(

hi guys,

Just started for the first tie to add a .GPX file taken off mt Garmin Edge 500 and over laying the data onto a clip taken on my Go Pro Hero 4 Silver.

I've got the video files in Virb edit fine, i've imported the .GPX file no problem, i've clicked on G-Matrix and then 'sync' dragged the .GPX file bar along so the the garmin file should start at the right place, but the speed stays the same and the dot on the map in the corner stays the same.

its almost like the video file is playing but the garmin file is on pause? any ideas?

I'm very new to the Virb Edit, literally been using it for a couple of hours so any help would be amazing :)

I have exactly same problem in version 3.0.1
Everything used to work fine in version 2.9.2

We are still investigating what's going on in 3.0.1.

I apologize for the trouble.

As a work-around, try re-importing the clip (and the GPX file). That seems to do the trick. See https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?274769-VIRB-Edit-3-0-1-is-available&p=636183#post636183 for better instructions.

I'm also having the same issue. I also notice on both Mac and PC you can no longer drag the GPS red dot in the new version which is a step backwards. Tried re-importing no good for me :-(

Having a similar problem with my Virb Elite, so I'm not actually importing a gpx file. Mine though shows the gauges (in the video edit window) while playback is paused, but not when the video is actually playing. They disappear from the screen completely.

I'm having the same issue, re-importing does not work either (old projects work, but not new ones I create). I second the request for the red dot, that was much easier to work with than the buttons. Also, the clips seemed to line up with the GPS tracks when synching the video and the GPS track, that also does not seem to work anymore and you have to start from the very beginning of the ride, dragging the red dot with the slider.

I am trying to narrow down the issue and making sure we fix the right thing. That's why I'd like a little more information:

For files imported from a VIRB Elite, which format did you record them in? Full HD, Economy, Timelapse,...?
