With windows movie maker? Is there any way to add a blank image to virb edit and add a duration on to it? Would be cool to do that for maps and stuff as well as fade to black for dramatic scene changes.
You could also use PowerPoint, create a one-color slide (setting the background color), export it as .wmv (standard 5 seconds), convert it to MP4. For converting to MP4 I use AnyVideoConverter, setting video codec: x264 , audicodec: aac Free version: http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/
