I had a video last week that froze at 17%, I had to download gopro software and use that. Today, I made a video after doing it for a few hours and now this one freezes at 14%. I said maybe its the music, so I just deleted the music track and it exported fine. I know the music track is alright, is this a known bug?

I have had this same issue from the beginning. I have worked out a solution until its fixed.
I add music for the editing process and remove the music when I am ready to export. I export my completed video without the sound, then I create a new video with only the completed video file and add the music. Virb Edit seems to be able to process this single video file and music without issue.
I spent some time a couple weeks ago chasing down this problem. I've submitted a fix that will come with the next release of VirbEdit. Thank you Kiter13 for your work around til then. Sorry for the trouble!
