Crash when taking photo from clip

Everytime i try to take a still photo from a video clip VIRB Edit stops working completely.
I can only close the programme
Im using version 2.9.2

Anyone have an idea as to why this occurs and how i can get it to work properly?

I have had this once, gave up and the next time I used it, it was fine

I've done the usual reboot stuff to no avail :-(
