Virb edit crashes totally useless

I can import video from camera, click create video, name it, then it crashes. Reopen Edit, click edit video, it crashes. reopen, try to play video, it crashes.

It pops up an error report to send of to Garmin, sent it 100 times with no help or reply. The only time I get a hard error report that I can attach to an e-mail is when I try to export the video, but that report is different from the pop up report.

I have unistalled and reinstalled the Virb Edit software, have loaded the most recent driver for the graphics card.

Windows 8.1, i7, Intel HD 4600 1GB, 8GB of RAM

Really upset and let down with this camera, has the total potential to out perform GoPro in every way, but software makes it a paper weight.

    Hello MikeBaker525,
Thank you for your error reports. You weren't joking, you really did send in about 100 of them. I'm taking a look at your problem, and I believe I've narrowed down what is happening. The good news is, I can see where your problem is occurring, and I can make the application handle the situation gracefully (ie not crash). We'll make sure this goes into the next release. Without being overly technical, the bad news is that your graphics card is refusing to give VirbEdit a window where it can play your videos, so even with my "fix" you won't be able to watch any of your videos in VirbEdit. I'm hoping there will be something we can do on our end to coax your graphics hardware into be more cooperative. I'd like to have you try a few things for me to that end. I'll PM you with the details.

Thanks, I'll be waiting for the PM's.

Is there anyway to get the previous EDIT software? That version worked fine, i only had issues once I updated the EDIT software

What is the most recent version that worked for you?

I still unable to export or share video >3.98 GB (15' @50fps 720HD), due to Virb Edit freeze at about 12% on the 1st elaboration process with i7 8gb and Win 7 Ultimate x64 are you aware about it? when we should expect a fix and new release?

Due a limitation in Windows 7, VirbEdit is not able to export a video larger than 4GB. This limitation was fixed in Windows 8 and higher. Your export freezing at 12% is probably not related to this limitation. However, I recently fixed a bug that is likely causing this problem. The fix will be included with our next release of VirbEdit.
