After a year of using the camera and software one of my biggest headaches is uploading the large output to Youtube afterwards.
I record let say 10Gb of video in 1080 and after adding the overlays and exporting in 1080/30fps, I end up with a 20Gb file. By re-processing the file with a simple video compression tool, without much tweaking I end up with a 10 or even 5Gb file that I may split or upload directly in a lot less time. And the quality is still pretty good, more than enough for Youtube, even at 1080 resolution.
It would be great to have some video compression settings that will let you tweak the final file size. And I would expect that under default settings, the file size would never be more than the source material size.
