Another video, another virb edit glitch...

I have generated yet another video using clips and a song. First export failed, so I reverted back to the original export clips to single video, then add to new video to add some music.

This time however, virb edit is pixelating between clips. Can someone tell me how to solve this?

I'm still getting pixels when I have lots of clips on the transition, is there a solution for this?

I've noticed this problem as well. It's on my list of things I'd like to get fixed for the next release. My personal observation is that it happens most often when you transition between two clips with different frame rates (time lapse, slow mo, or just recorded at different frame rates). That observation seems pretty consistent with what I'm seeing in your videos. If I find a work around while I'm investigating this issue I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks for looking into the problem. However, my snow kite video is filmed completely at 1080p@30 so the clips are the same but still pixelating. (Im exporting at 1080@60 is this the issue?) The video I published last night, i added a transition to every clip and the problem never occurred. So it seems to be occurring on portions of clips where I don't add transitions.

Ok, I've spent all day working on this and it is fixed. The problem really is the fps. Exporting at 60 fps could definitely cause the issue you are seeing. If all your videos are 30fps and you export at 30fps I don't think you will see this. Its an odd problem, it won't happen with every transition, the odds of getting it are pretty random. Anyway, the fix will ship with our next release. Till then, sorry for the inconvenience

Awesome thanks! I am going to start exporting at 1080@30fps as I recently signed up to vimeo and thats what they request. Hopefully it solves my problem.

I'm afraid there is not much you can do to fix this issue on your end because it is a bug in the software. I am one of the developers working on VirbEdit and I was able to fix the bug that caused this behavior. The fix will be available to everyone as soon as we release the next version of VirbEdit.
