v2.9.2.0 - GPS sync still not resolved

Guys, I have been trying to resolve the Virb Elite cold start problems with data alignment to the vid for more than a year. Could the developer please comment if they are working on the issue at all??

Maybe the simplest solution is the best as others suggested on this forum - just start recording both (all?) files at the same time. If the files are truly in equal length (not artificially tweaked during import or where the 5s offset comes from) there can be no misalignments. Its quite o.k. if the data file reads zeros now and then (cold start, loss of gps fix, etc.), better than fake data that is impossible to synchronize.

That brings me to other issue - it is just impossible to achieve a sync even with the tool now provided in the Virb Edit. The GPS part alone is quite o.k. - synchronization of the tract on the map works just fine - that improved tremendously if compared to the initial release. But it is impossible to synchronize any other data! However you move the track, it only changes the track data, but speed and other values are unaffected. That e.g. means that Virb Edit shows movement where there is none (both on map and on the vid) and there is no way to fix this (that is none that I could find).

Can admin please comment? It really freaks me out that after a year+ of Virb Elit on the market you still can't get correct data readings. May be I am the only one, but in my view the ONLY advantage of Virb Edit to other video software out there are the data overlays displaying speed, Gs and other readings from the sensors Virb Elite has and the competitors don't. I really do not understand why you keep playing around with adding more features to the soft, like music and sh..t while the soft can't do the only thing it is actually supposed to do - give you accurate speed and Gs data readings to be able to use the single advantage Virb Elite has to offer over its closest rivals.

Thx for comments
