Please help. Virb Elite issue

I just got a Virb Elite that I bought "new" off of Ebay.

Anyways, I put in a 64GB card. Turned it on. Turned on the record button but the light stayed green and the viewfinder frozed.

I restarted it and tried it again and still the same thing. Took out the battery several times and still did the same thing.

Anyways, I downloaded the Virb Elite in the Google App store and the phone found the VIRB but then a screen popped up and said I need to update to the latest firmware.

So I went and downloaded the Virb Edit off of the website and updated eveything on my computer.

I don't know how it can download through the phone?
Anyways, I connected my virb to my labtop with the USB cord and everything frozed. My PC didn't even popped up that it recognized anything in the USB PORT.

Does anyone know what is going on?

I don't think you can update the VIRB software via the phone. You will need a PC. Sounds like you already downloaded VIRB Edit, it will prompt you to update your VIRB camera once you connect it and will perform the update.

If any of the above is not working, please contact Product Support.

One thing I would do is make sure the USB cable is properly inserted into the VIRB, you need to give it a good push and make sure it "clicks" in.
