My computer specs (desktop, custom build):
Windows 8.1 / Intel i3-4150 3.50Ghz / 16GB RAM / Geforce GT 740 (drivers up to date)
I'm having ongoing problems editing and exporting videos with Garmin Virb. My computer is almost brand new (I actually bought it specifically for editing videos as my old laptop was too slow) and all relevant drivers are up to date. I did manage to create and export a video last week, so I know that it should theoretically be possible, but the current video I'm working with is driving me nuts. My problems are:
* GPS sync is always 20-30 seconds out. I don't understand this as my camera (Virb basic) and GPS device (Edge 510) display the same time to the second. Isn't it a simple fix to make sure they're aligned? Regardless, the current video I'm editing consists of 4 videos, all linked to to the same GPX file. I go in and edit the GPS sync info for each clip, but if I exit the program and re-open the file all the edited sync information has reset to default again. This happens whether I exit the program voluntarily (closing it using the menu option), or in the following case.
* Cannot export video. Whether I try to export to .mp4 or upload directly to Youtube, it either immediately crashes or crashes after the progress bar has reached a few percent, displaying the message "There was an error exporting the video". If I then go back to the "Edit Video" tab and try to play the video, it says "There was an error playing the video". I need to restart the program in order to start working with the video again, but by doing so all the GPS data is out of sync again.
Any suggestions? I was using version 2.80 and hoped that the recent update I installed today (version 2.9.1) would help, but it's exactly the same.
