Virb Edit has Stopped Working (system requirments??)

Hi everyone,

could i possibly ask for some assistance on the Virb editing software.

i received the Virb elite for Christmas and i think it is amazing, i really like that i can mount it under my head unit and control it from the head unit

I loaded the software onto the laptop, it loads, it adds the files, i can edit, add gauges but it does not playback, i guess the laptop is not man enough.

so i loaded the software onto my desktop, but all i get is Virb Edit has stopped working!

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

If anyone has this software running smoothly can you tell me how? and if anyone has it running smoothly on a laptop can i ask which laptop, model and system details you are running it on. I would love to be able to edit the Virb movie whilst on the move.

That desktop computer sounds like it should be able to run VIRB Edit. Did you make sure to update the video card drivers from Asus' website?

Hi Falagar,

Thank you for the reply, it is a real change and to have someone from Garmin inside the forum, I have not seen this in the edge 800 and edge 1000 Forums.

Anyhow problem fixed... I spent 3 hours last night again updating all drives, cleaning the register, doing antivirus and malware scans, but everything said my system was tip top...

So i wiped the whole computer, reinstalled windows, reinstalled the motherboard and graphics drivers. Then installed Virb Edit before any other programe.. It worked.... Then i slowly introduced the antivirus, office suite, abode lightroom and all other software. I did check after every install that Virb edit was still working. and it is.

So after about 6 hours on the PC last night, it is all up and running, fresh install of everything and I'll tell what. Virb edit runs smoother on my home pc than on my more powerful CAD machine at work.

So Many thanks again for checking the forum and responding, it is appreciated by myself and I'm sure by other users.
