Elevation Graph / Grade

I used two clips to create a video. The clips were contiguous but split due to the 4 GB file size limit. I added an elevation graph to the video. When previewing the video in VIRB Edit, the graphs only showed the elevation profile for the clip that was displayed instead of the profile for the entire video. When the clips switched the elevation profile for the new clip appeared.
In the exported video, the graph only showed the elevation profile for the 1st clip. When the the clips switched in the exported video, the elevation text and a vertical line continued for a short time beyond the graph then disappeared.

Although the grade is relatively constant, at times the grade jumps around considerably. Is there a way to average the grade over a longer period of time to smooth out the gauge display.

I've tried using both the VIRB Elite FIT files and the FIT file from my Garmin 800 with the same results. The clips switch at the 20-21 second mark. The grade % jumping around is at the 50-55 sec mark.

I'd love to see the raw videos, as well as the fit files. Do you have a way to share them with me via personal message? Using Dropbox maybe?

I also get some pretty wild fluctuations on the gradient using an Edge 1000 and a Virb basic. I've only done one video so far, but I should be able to send the individual files in a day or two one I get back home.

Thanks for linking that. I'd like to reproduce the issue, I need the original video and GPS files for that. So if you can share that somehow, I'd be very interested.

@FALAGAR, I PM'd you a link to the FIT file in my dropbox, however the original video is about 3.4 gig which is currently too big for my dropbox account.

Is it alright if I trim it without doing anything else to it? I have another way I can send it to you, but you are going to have to PM me an email address perhaps for me to do this. Otherwise it might be a day or so until I can increase my dropbox size enough to to fit in in by sending some referral links out.

Trimming it might work if you let me know what the original time-stamp was and how much you trimmed off.

Well even if I don't trim it, the video doesn't start from the beginning of the ride, so it would likely take some aligning.

Anyway, I have my drop box big enough now, so will post it there shortly.

Uploading now, but I guess it will take an hour or two. I will repost once complete.
