I bought a Virb and love it. The only problem though is the Virb edit software is super buggy. I have Adobe products that I can easily edit my video in if I choose to, but the selling point of the Virb was being able to overlay data fields on the video. The Virb edit software is cool when it works but on both of my computers I run into two different problems that prevent it from working.
On my desktop computer I can import clips from the virb into the program but as soon as I make a project and try to open it, it crashes every single time.
As for my laptop: I can create a project but when I try to play it back, I feel like I'm having a seizure. The video is extremely choppy when you play it back within the program. If I watch it in Windows media player or Adobe After Effects, everything is fine but as soon as I go to Virb Edit I get this ridiculous chop. The weird thing is that this only occurs with clips from the Virb. For example I can import a video clip from my other cameras and they playback smooth. Another problem I have found is that when I do put gauges and data on my video, when I export it, I will either get a video containing none of the gauges I added or they are there and don't display any information.
Both computers are up to the required specs, so I am kind of clueless as what is going on. Kind of disappointed at this point.
