P.S. Nawet zrozumialem co bylo napisane w tym dialogu. Troche mowie po polsku.

    What a surprise :)
First of all I've gone back to ver 2.7 but its not a problem to install 2.8 again.
I think the easiest way for You to see the problem will be to use a TeamViewer. You'll do what You want to check whatever You want, on my PC, I don't have any important or sensitive :) things here.
Lots of clips in the library , fit file seems not to be huge - 547 kb and it sounds strange that app could use all of 16Gb of the memory... and I repeat 2,7 ver doesn't have the problem with swapping the gps track, sometimes it crashes during export but few restarts solve the problem. Recently it exported the movie without the elevation in the graph window but with the value in the gauge :S - strange http://youtu.be/f3dlsY4fonI

PM me if my idea fits You.

    Thank you for your feedback!

Title Bug: I am having trouble reproducing this. What OS are you on? The selection box basically stays when the title has disappeared? We will hopefully go back to the regular selection indicator in 2.9, we just had some performance issues, so we went with the box for 2.8.

Import date: That's something we should be able to fix. Falling back to the current date and time when we cannot read the meta-data sounds like a good solution.

Zero Speed: I'm curious, are you getting a gpx or .fit file from the Edge? Could you share an example video and file? There might be something we can do. But yes, I suspect that the Edge has better speed info, and just doesn't write it out for VIRB Edit to pick up.

Thanks again for your feedback. It is much appreciated.

TITLE BUG: I am using Windows 7

ZERO SPEED: I do not have a speed sensor unit, so the speed is from the Edge 810 itself. I have tried both importing FIT files and GPX files separately and still see similar errors, floating around 5-8 kph at the lights. My example can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrDJqeGDxRc&feature=youtu.be&t=1m20s - I have set that link to start from 1:20 for a good example. As I slow down the speed appear accurately from 30kph down to 0kph. But then when stationary at the lights, the speed creeps up to 9-10kph just after 2:05. During this time, the route map and elevation profile also shows me moving slowly. BTW, I am riding a recumbent bike and the camera is under my seat - that's why the angle is unusual! :)
  • Do you show the taskbar at all times or do you auto-hide it? I can't seem to make it happen either way though. :(

Yes, I show taskbar at all times (I don't like auto-hide).
This happen with my two notebooks which I have installed VirbEdit.

    No sensor data at all

After the upgrade, I have no sensor data at all (GPS, Speed, Power, ...) in my new files. Virb settings look fine. If I go to old files from the summer and open them the data shows up fine.

    Any ideas?

    Ray

Forgot to add: Windows 8.1 and I have tried a couple of reinstalls, but have not uninstalled and then reinstalled.

No Gauges/data overlay when exporting video

I am having same issue as Ray since upgrading to 2.8 (Also Windows 8.1)

Gauges are selected and data looks fine when editing - however once I export the video - NO gauges are overlaid - Frustrating!

We are working on a fix for that. In the mean-time, if you are making changes to your gauges, make sure you save them as a new template, that should make sure we write the gauges on export.

But we should have that fixed in 2.9. I apologize for the trouble.

    Hello,

I just got the Garmin Virb Elite last week, awesome piece of hardware!
As linux user, I tried to run Virb Edit on Windows 8.1 in a virtual machine (Oracle VirtualBox 4.3.10 running on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS).
Unfortunately, Virb Edit 2.8.0.0 crashes as soon as I try to play a clip.
The popup box tells the following: "VIRB Edit has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available", button "Close program"
If you are interested, I may provide further information to your developers from the environment in which the crash occurs (I'm a professional developer myself).

    Best regards,
    Daniel.

    Glad you like the camera!

I am afraid I cannot be of much assistance with this issue, unfortunately. This is not a scenario we are have the resources to support.

Sounds like an issue with either the video driver, or we don't support whatever DirectX version the VM is serving up.

I having trouble with the video displaying the data (Cadence, Power, Heart Rate) from the Fit file (Edge 1000). When I click on "GPS Sync", the data appears correctly on the preview window. However, the data are gone after I hit "Done". I'm using OS X Yosemite.
