VIRB Edit wishlist

Hi,
just curious if there could be a wish list for this software, have some points:
- automatic pan for the map - if I have a long trip and would like to see detailed map it doesn't pan with the video
- display of the current and proposed track - would be nice to see a reference track and custom points with current gpx track at the same time on map
- just for the future connection and synchronization with the Base Camp software - there I can use different mp sources (not only Bing and Google) but also Garmin maps, custom maps, point, tracks, etc.
Thanks!

Thank you very much for your suggestions!

Automatic panning of the map is on the road-map.

What is the use-case for the reference track? How would you envision this will work?

There are currently no plans to support maps that are not web-based.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
It will be very helpful if there will be an option to zoom into the map in the Virb edit and the map will be moving (automatic pan) with the movie, the road map (you mean the line with the red dot on the dashboard?) is too simple.
The use case of the reference track is just to see the planned route (or previously ridden/flown route) just as a background and the current one. Possible import from KMZ would be great.
OK I can understand the issue with the not web-based maps but any interface to the Base Camp?

Our roadmap is the list of features we plan to implement. So when I said it's on the roadmap that means we are planning to implement the automatic panning feature in a future version.

We'll evaluate synchronization with BaseCamp, I can definitely see some possibilities there, but we have nothing concrete planned at this point.

    Oh, thanks, now I understand.
I know, that the camera is mainly for the adventure activities, but I can see also big potential for commercial use, especially in the field where I´m working, if you like to exchange some ideas, just let me know I can send you an email with more details.
