I'm seriously unimpressed with my Garmin Virb Elite 2.
The first device I had has just been replaced by Garmin (thank you!) but it's in worse condition than the first! Although the first steadily lost Micro-SD access, at least it could connect to a PC, the replacement won't even do that.
I've read that some Virbs don't connect without a Firmware upgrade (Are you kidding me, Garmin!?!?!) so I thought I'd check to see the Firmware version I have installed.... 2.9 with lan of 1.2.
I have now downloaded the http://garminvirb.wikispaces.com/Firmware#Firmware%20History 3.8 firmware to micro-SD card (on my PC, cant connect to pc, remember!) to this directory...\Garmin and called it gupdate.gcd. I then rebooted but nothing happened.
Any idea how I can get the firmware to upgrade?
Why don't these things "just work" out of the box?
