2.6.2 clips not importing

OK, so was on 2.6.0/1 (not sure, but just updated to 2.6.2), thought it had finally solved my issues, but

Cycling this morning, total time 1:20:00ish, seems the virb had created 2 clips (first 3.6gb, 2nd 1.5ish)

Was excited to edit video for my first real use situation (have only used - successfully - for short trials).

Cannot import video!, firstly Virb Edit does not see my Virb - OK, so removed card and put directly into laptop, perfect card recognized and VIRB Edit sees the card so I copy and instantly get the

Library Updated 0/2 (and the progress bar shows complete) with the OK option. Nothing is copied.

If I change the default folder, VIRB can see the folder, but not the file/clip.

To summaries, Virb Edit 2.6.2 will not import clips from Virb Elite.

I have noticed that todays clips do not have a time associated with them *(as the others in the folders do) and the clips will not play in other video players
  • Update,

Took another small clip and no luck importing.

So, formatted card and tried again, bingo, small clip imported!.

It is proving way to difficult to get this camera to do what I bought it for, it just can't be relied upon to record video.

I am sorry for the trouble.

So did you manage to import the videos after all? Can you import them manually after copying them to the hard drive yourself?

I'd be curious if importing a longer video will now work after you formatted the card.
  • I have same issue with Virb Elite, but I discovered that depended on the defective SD card.
I could records about 1-2 Gb on 64 Gb available, after that files mp4 resulted corrupted and no video player can manage to read they...any try to record from virb generated bad mp4s.
When there is a corrupted video, virb edit fails to recognize the cam connected and it didn't imports any clips.
I tryed to reformat card (SanDisk Ultra 64GB SDXC C10) both in FAT32 and exFat, but issue remain also when I move file from pc to card..files became corrupted
I have contacted SanDisk, that told me that my card was defective.
Now I use SanDisk Ultra 32GB SDHC with no issue.
